Blessed Hammer Paladin (Hammerdin)

The most powerful PvE build in Diablo 2. Blessed Hammer deals magic damage that almost nothing is immune to. Combined with Enigma for Teleport, Hammerdin can clear any area faster than any other build in the game.

Pros

  • +Highest overall clear speed in the game with Enigma
  • +Magic damage bypasses nearly all immunities
  • +Can farm every area — Chaos Sanctuary, Baal runs, etc.
  • +Strong at all stages of gearing

Cons

  • -Enigma is extremely expensive (Jah + Ith + Ber)
  • -Without Teleport, clear speed drops dramatically
  • -Hammer spiral pattern requires practice to aim
  • -Boring playstyle for some players (spam one skill)

Play Style

Teleport into monster packs, activate Concentration aura, and spam Blessed Hammer. The hammers spiral outward in a clockwise pattern — position yourself slightly south-east of the pack for optimal hits. Use Holy Shield to maintain max block. Charge for pre-Enigma mobility.

Mercenary

Act 2 Offensive (Might Aura) — Insight polearm for mana sustain. Treachery for attack speed + Fade proc. Andariel's Visage with Ral rune for IAS.
